I'm frequently contacted in the early stages when customers plan to produce a custom-designed staff uniform. However, sometimes it's hard for a customer to know when is the right time to engage a professional to help with production. Therefore, I've put this brief article together to provide a top-level understanding of crucial information when embarking on a custom apparel project.

Apparel Options

  • Polo shirts (Mens XS-3XL+5XL, Ladies 6-26, Kids 4-16)
  • Sleeve styles ( Set-in or raglan sleeves are available, in short and long-sleeve options).
  • Button colours (white, black or clear).
  • A selection of fabric weave textures and fabric thickness

Moja Creative has physical polo samples in all sizes to try on if required. The men's are generous, while the women's are a bit snug, and we recommend trying on a sample if you are based in Perth. Alternatively, we always provide a measurement guide to help you choose the right size, and our team can offer helpful tips for these measurements.

Colour Swatches

If you need to print corporate colours, we have a physical printed swatch sample. Here we can stipulate an exact colour to print. This ensures you have sighted and approved the colour, and the print production team has a specific colour match reference.

Artwork Design

We design the artwork for the polos in-house. The design consists of the front, rear, collar and cuffs. This artwork is imposed into a 3D polo mockup for client approval, the production order is approved, and production takes approximately 4-5 weeks.

Past Projects

Wildwater Championships Event Polo

This particular client was no stranger to the production process having had polo tops produced in the past. The branded colours were selected from our printed colour swatch chart for accuracy. Moja's cost-effectiveness and ability to create additional branded materials helped secure this project. You can read more here.

Indigenous Polo Uniform for Maida Vale Primary School

We were involved in the early stages of discussions on how to best convert the indigenous artwork from a canvas painting into a polo design for the teaching staff's uniform and for the indigenous students who participated in the project. Moja professionally scanned the artwork to high resolution and touched-up corrections to the artwork for the best results. Minor manipulation of art elements was needed for the vital artwork elements to be visible in the polo side panel section of the design.
